BREAKING: EC Announces Poll Dates For Maharashtra & Jharkhand

Election Commission of India has announced that Maharashtra will have a single-phase election on 20 November, and the votes will be counted on 23 November. On the other hand, Jharkhand will have two-phase polls on the 13th and 20th of November. Jharkhand has 81 seats, and Maharashtra has 288 constituencies. On November 13th, Wayanad and UP Bypolls will also be held.

In the latest development in the Baba Siddique murder case, The Mumbai police have arrested another accused, officials said on Tuesday.

The accused has been identified as Harishkumar Balakram (23), hailing from Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh. Balakram was working as a scrap dealer in Pune.

Mumbai Police had earlier arrested Gurmail Baljit Singh from Haryana (23), Uttar Pradesh native Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap (19), both alleged shooters and co-conspirator Pravin Lonkar from Pune—another suspected shooter, Shivkumar Gautam, who is from Bahraich, is absconding.
