Breaking: UN designates JeM chief Masood Azhar as a ‘Global Terrorist’

New Delhi| In a huge diplomatic victory for India, the United Nation finally declared Masood Azhar as a ‘Global Terrorist’. Massod Azhar is the chief of Jaish-e-Mohammed, a terror outfit that claimed the responsibility of the Pulwama attack in which 40 CRPF soldiers were killed.

The news was confirmed by India’s permanent representative to the UN Syed Akbaruddin. He tweeted, “Big,small, all join together. Masood Azhar designated as a terrorist in @UN Sanctions list. Grateful to all for their support.”

India has been pushing to designate Masood Azhar as a global terrorist. However, China using its veto power would block the attempt every time. This time, China removed its objection resulting in a diplomatic win for India.
