Muslim girls feel safe under the BJP rule in Uttar Pradesh: Narendra Modi

Kanpur: Addressing a rally at at Kanpur Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Muslim girls feel safe under the BJP rule in Uttar Pradesh. He further stated that the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh is also helping the farmers to provide assistance in procuring technology.

Attacking on the opposition, Modi said that BJP will remain in power. He said, “The ‘Parivaarwadi’ will again be defeated by the people of Uttar Pradesh. The festival of colours, Holi will be celebrated in Uttar Pradesh on 10th March itself. BJP govt will remain in power in UP.”

He said that we have to walk on the path of development. Welfare and upliftment of the poor is BJP’s main priority. 

Slamming the ex governments of the state, Narendra Modi said, “When they keep changing their allies, then how will they serve the people of Uttar Pradesh?…Earlier governments looted the people of the state.”

“34 lakh houses have been given to the poor under the PM-Awaj Yojna in the state. Out of this, 13 lakh Dalits have got the houses,” said PM Modi.

Further he speaking of Muslim girls said, “The Muslim girls feel safe under the BJP rule in Uttar Pradesh. Many more number of Muslim girls are going to schools and colleges in the state now.”

There is a Hijab Row going on currently in Karnataka. 

The Karnataka hijab row erupted after a group of young Muslim students were not permitted to enter their college in Udupi district on account of wearing hijabs.

The issue spread across the state as more colleges and schools issued similar diktats. Opposing groups of students began protesting both for and against the right to wear hijabs in educational institutes. Those opposing the Muslim girls donned saffron scarves and the clash in ideology turned violent in a few areas.

The controversy snowballed further with national political parties attacking each other over the issue. The protests have now spread to different parts of the nation and the matter is in the high court at present.
