11 Rain-Related Deaths In Kerala; Yellow Alert Issued

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for seven Kerala districts, anticipating heavy rainfall on Saturday. The warning applies to Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasargod, with expected rainfall between 6 cm and 11 cm. State Revenue Minister K. Rajan reported 11 rain-related deaths from May 9 to May 23, including drownings, quarry accidents, lightning strikes, and a house collapse.
