In response to the Delhi government’s proposed hike in pollution certificate charges, 600 Pollution Under Control Centres (PUC) across 400 petrol pumps in Delhi will shut down starting Monday. The Delhi Petrol Dealers’ Association has called for this protest, citing the increased charges as unsustainable. The new rates, increasing fees by Rs 20 to Rs 40, are set to take effect pending government notification.
