The Economic Survey 2023-2024, tabled by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today, projects India’s real GDP growth at 6.5-7% for 2024-25, aligning with the IMF’s forecast. It noted a decline in retail inflation from 6.7% in FY23 to 5.4% in FY24, citing effective management of global and supply chain issues. The survey also highlighted a 9% increase in Gross Fixed Capital Formation, driven by government and private sector investments.
