Nikhil Gupta, accused in a murder-for-hire plot against Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, pleaded not guilty in a New York federal court. Gupta, extradited from the Czech Republic, is accused of collaborating with an Indian official to kill Pannun. The court detained Gupta without bail until his June 28 hearing. His lawyer, Jeffrey, called the case “complex” and vowed a vigorous defence.
