After more than three decades, Manipur, previously a dry state, is set to end its liquor ban. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, led by Chief Minister N Biren Singh, has revised the liquor policy to boost state revenue and combat the circulation of illicit alcohol, permitting the entire liquor supply chain.
