On Friday, North Korea fired over 200 artillery rounds into the sea near a heavily protected maritime border with South Korea. As a result, residents of two South Korean islands were ordered to evacuate due to an unknown situation. The firing by North Korea did not cause any harm to civilians or the military in South Korea, according to the military’s news briefing.
