Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman accused the Tamil Nadu government of preventing ‘puja’ dedicated to Lord Ram in temples on January 22, the day of the Ram Temple inauguration, deeming it “anti-Hindu.” She also claimed a ban on live telecasts of the event. However, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department minister Sekar Babu refuted these allegations, asserting there were no restrictions on ‘pujas’ or ‘annadhanam’ in Tamil Nadu temples.
