The U.S. conducted a “defensive” airstrike in Iraq’s Babylon province, targeting combatants launching drones deemed threats to U.S. and coalition forces. The strike, the first since February, killed four and injured others, according to Iraqi sources. The U.S. defence official stated, “We maintain the inherent right to self-defence and will not hesitate to take appropriate action.”
