WATCH: Hundreds Of Afghans Push And Pull to Get On A Plane Leaving The Country

Hundreds of people push and pull to board airplane carrying passengers out of the country. Disturbing visuals from Afghanistan as the Taliban takes control of Kabul.

President, Ashraf Ghani reportedly fled to Tajikistan. In a social media post, Ghani mentioned that he had to leave the country to avoid bloodshed, especially in Kabul – a city of 6 million people.

An official part of the militant group said the Taliban will soon declare the ‘Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’ from the presidential palace. Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the official said that it was the name of the country under the Taliban government ousted by US-led forces after the 9/11 attacks. The Taliban has warned government employees in Afghanistan to return to the way they were 20 years ago under Taliban rule.
