New Delhi| Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Washington at the IAD airport on a three-day US visit, but on the very first day, he received a major snub. Imran Khan arrived in Washington through Qatar airways, but when he stepped out of the aircraft, there were no senior officials for his welcome. It was Pakistan’s foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi who received him at the airport.
But the embarrassment did not end here. Imran Khan wasn’t even given the provision of any vehicle as per the State Protocol. Having no other choice to travel, Pakistan PM, Qureshi along with others had to travel through the Metro train to reach Pakistan house.

According to media reports, in order to follow the protocol in Imran’s welcome, the Pakistani government had also offered to give USD 2.5 million to the United States, but the United States refused to accept it. Imran was welcomed by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Pakistani Ambassador in the US Asad M. Khan. The clip of Imran Khan being snubbed has got viral on social media and the Pakistani PM is now being mercilessly trolled.

Imran staying in White House for three hours
Imran Khan will also meet American President Donald Trump during his visit. Pakistani army chief Gen Bajwa will also be present at this meeting. Although it is not clear how long Trump and Imran’s meeting will go on, but according to media reports, the Pakistani delegation will be in the White House for about 3 hours. At the same time, delegation-level talks will also be held. General Bajwa will also visit the Pentagon.
