International politics in the last few weeks was hit by two separate major incidents. In India’s neighbouring Myanmar, the military overtook the democraticlly elected parliament in a military coup. It has also declared emergency for a year. The chief of the courntry, Aung San Suu Kyi and leaders of the ruling NLD have been detained. Protests have broken out in Myanmar against the military takeover undermining elected govt. On the other hand, in Russia arrest of widely popular Kremlin critic against whom poisoning attempt was made last year- Alexei Navalny, has sparked widespread protests.
