Pakistan allegations over J&K are false, concocted says India at UNHRC

India rejected Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s claims that Kashmir is not India’s internal matter but an international issue.

Geneva| In a befitting reply, India slammed its neighbouring country Pakistan in the United Nations Human Rights Conference (UNHRC) today at Geneva. India said that Pakistan’s allegations over J&K are not only false but also concocted.

Secretary (East) in the Ministry of External Affairs, Vijay Thakur Singh was replying to the questions raised by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in UNHRC. He had said that Kashmir is not India’s internal matter but an international issue.

However, Vijay Thakur Singh rejected Pakistan’s claims. She said, ” One delegation has given a running commentary with offensive rhetoric of false allegations&concocted charges against my country.” She added, “The world is aware that this fabricated narrative comes from epicentre of global terrorism, where ring leaders were sheltered for years.”

Noting the benefits of Modi govt’s order to abrogate Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, she said, “As a result of recent legislative measures progressive policies will now be fully applicable to our citizens in J&K, & Ladakh. These will end gender discrimination, better protect juvenile rights&make applicable rights to education, information & work.”
