In a seemingly slip of tongue Imran Khan also mentioned the United States as the “foreign hand” behind threat to his government.
Imran Khan government seems to be counting its last days in power. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed Pakistan, although his address started 1 hour late. He was also supposed to address the country on Wednesday, but it was postponed at the last minute. It is said that General Bajwa and the ISI chief forbade him to speak on sensitive matters.
In his address, Imran Khan attacked his predecessor Nawaz Sharif and said- “It is written in Barkha Dutt’s book that Nawaz Sharif met Modi in Kathmandu. Modi called General Raheel Sharif a terrorist. Then Modi comes here for Sharif’s wedding. Zardari used to support drone attacks.”

Further in a seemingly slip of tongue he also mentioned the United States as the “foreign hand” behind threat to his government. On Wednesday, Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government confirmed that its allegation about a foreign conspiracy was based on a diplomatic cable received from one of the country’s missions abroad. Imran Khan said, “We get a message on 8th March. This is not right for a free country. This is against the Prime Minister. It is written in it that if Imran leaves, we will forgive Pakistan. But if this no-confidence motion fails, we will see Pakistan. This is an official letter. Its notes were taken.”
Commenting on the letter he said that iti s a conspiracy to intimidate the country of 22 crore people. He also hinted that his closeness to Russia might have irked the US. “We decided to go to Russia after talking to the army and other leaders. But, America says that as long as Imran is there, our relations cannot be good. We have no problem with those who come after Imran,” he said.
Incidentally, on Sunday during a show of power ahead of the No Confidence motion, Imran Khan had said that he has a letter which contains evidence of “foreign conspiracy” in the felling of his government.
