“The Storm Is Here..”: Tweeted Trump’s Supporter Before She Was Shot Dead At Capitol

“She was a strong supporter of President Trump,” the report added, saying the woman was from the San Diego area in southern California.

According to press reports, the woman who was fatally shot amid altercation between Trump supporters and police as they stormed the US Capitol Wednesday, was Ashli Babbitt, a “strong supporter” of the president who had served in the United States Air Force.

After hundreds of protesters sought to overturn Trump’s election loss by storming the parliament building, violence erupted in the normally solemn home of the US legislature.

San Diego TV station KUSI, citing the woman’s husband, reported: “The woman is Ashli Babbitt, a 14-year veteran, who served four tours with the US Air Force.”

“She was a strong supporter of President Trump,” the report added, saying the woman was from the San Diego area in southern California.

Though Washington police have confirmed the death, they are yet to identify the deceased. They have also not offered details on the circumstances of the shooting, which is now under investigation.

As some security personnel drew their guns to stop advancing protesters, she is said to be shot amid chaotic and violent scenes inside the Capitol building at the same time.

“I really don’t know why she decided to do this,” her mother-in-law reportedly told the station.

Noting her love for the US, Babbitt had identified herself as a veteran on her Twitter account.

On Tuesday, she wrote on her Twitter: “Nothing will stop us….they can try and try and try but the storm is here and it is descending upon DC in less than 24 hours….dark to light!”
