ISIS has asserted responsibility for the twin explosions near Qasem Soleimani’s burial site in southern Iran. The attacks resulted in at least 84 fatalities and 284 injuries, marking Iran’s deadliest incident since the 1979 revolution. ISIS’s Al-Furqan media wing claimed two suicide bombers, identified as brothers, targeted Shiite mourners commemorating Soleimani’s fourth assassination anniversary.
