Kanjhawala Case: As per cops, the accused were extremely scared and hence they kept driving the car till the woman’s body fell off
New Delhi: The Kanjhawala Case is witnessing many twists and turns. Recently, it was learnt that Deepak Khanna who was driving the car as per the earlier information shared by the accused, was actually not driving and was at home when Anjali was killed under the car. In a new development today, the accused in this case have confessed to cops that they knew a woman was under their car. The car took multiple U-turns in Delhi’s Kanjhawala area and the woman was dragged by a speeding car from Sultanpuri.
They despite being aware of the situation, decided to drive to avoid a murder case being filed under their name. Cops said they knew a murder case would be filed against them if they had stopped the car and rescued the woman.
As per cops, they were extremely scared and hence they kept driving till the woman’s body fell off.
The woman had 40 exterior wounds, and the post-mortem report confirmed that her ribs were exposed from the back. Her “brain matter was lost” and the base of her skull was fractured. Her head, spine, and lower limbs were all injured.
The victim’s friend Nidhi, who was riding with her on the scooter fled the spot. After the autopsy ruled out sexual assault, Nidhi has been accused of being a part of the plot by the victim’s family. Nidhi told the cops that while the victim was screaming in agony, the driver of the car did not stop and ran over her.
Sagar Preet Hooda, special CP for law and order, claimed on January 5, that the suspects in the death of Anjali were aware that a body was under the car. He stated that a total of 18 teams had been constituted by the police to probe the matter.
