BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis offered to resign as Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, taking responsibility for the party’s poor Lok Sabha election results. He asked the BJP leadership to relieve him of his duties to focus on strengthening the party for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly polls. “I take responsibility and request to be relieved to work hard for the party,” Fadnavis said.
