The Election Commission addressed Trinamool Congress’s claim of EVMs “with BJP tags” in Bankura district. Trinamool shared images of EVMs with BJP-labeled paper tags and accused BJP of vote tampering.

The Commission clarified that only the BJP candidate’s representative was present during EVM commissioning, with all procedures followed under CCTV coverage and videographed. Signatures from all agents were obtained during the poll.
