Son of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, Zeeshan Siddique, joined the Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s NCP faction on Friday.
In August, Zeeshan Siddique was dismissed from Congress for reportedly voting against the party in the elections for the Maharashtra Legislative Council.
“My family and I are having a very emotional day. I am grateful to Sunil Tatkare, Praful Patel, and Ajit Pawar for having faith in me during these difficult times.”, said Zeeshan after joining the NCP.
He further said, “I have the nomination from Bandra East, and I am sure that with the love and support of all the people, I will definitely win Bandra East again.”
