Azam Khan’s ‘khaki’ remark on Jaya Prada exposes political misogyny

The usage of foul language during election season hit a new low on Sunday when veteran Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan made an “underwear jibe”, which was made against BJP candidate Jaya Prada who is fighting the Lok Sabha polls from Rampur against him. As it is election season, the anger and outrage will follow up for few more days. But what after that? The sexist and misogynist remarks against women has always been a part of our political discourse. And yes, it does sparks some outrage but does it lead to any solution?
