The Supreme Court in its hearing asked the respondents to produce two documents: A letter of support provided by Ajit Pawar and Letter staking claim to form govt
In a surprise twist in the tale that left everyone shocked, Maharashtraβs caretaker CM Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra at Raj Bhavan.
More surprisingly, NCP leader Ajit Pawar took oath as the deputy chief minister. Minutes after they took an oath, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated both of them.
The unexpected development has left everyone shocked as on Friday the three parties held a joint meeting at Nehru Science Centre. After coming out of the meet Sharad Pawar said that the three parties are unanimously proposing Uddhav Thackerayβs name.
Talking about the development, Devendra Fadnavis said that their ally ShivSena went against the mandate and tried to ally with NCP and Congress. βThis will be a khichdi government. It wouldnβt have lasted long,β he said.
On the other hand, Ajit Pawar taking this step had left everyone with a question about whether Sharad Pawar has blessed his move. Moreover, there is a further question of how many MLAs will be joining him?
Sharad Pawar has clarified that NCP has nothing to do with Ajit Pawar’s decision.
