Mayawati today while sharing a stage with Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav after 25 years cleared the speculations regarding their political rivalry.
Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mayawati said,” “There is no doubt that Mulayam Singh has taken members of all sections of society along with him under the SP banner….he is the real leader, specially of backwards who still consider him as leader…he is not a ‘naqli’ or ‘farzi’ backward (leader) like Narendra Modi …,”
Mayawati during her speech also mentioned the Guest House case which created the difference between both the parties. She said, “I know people must be wondering why I have come here to campaign for Mulayam Singhji despite the State Guest House case”.
“Sometimes in janhit and party movement some difficult decisions have to be taken,” she said, in a reference to the “1995 guest house incident”, where SP members had attacked the guest house in which the supremo and her party members had resided in.
