PM Modi express gratitude towards people of Kashi; urge voters to strengthen democracy

New Delhi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi today after filing his nomination from Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency expressed his gratitude towards the people of Kashi.

Speaking to reporters, Modi said, ” I deeply express gratitude towards people of Kashi. They have again blessed me after 5 years. Such a grand roadshow yesterday was possible only in Kashi.”

Modi also urged voters to stop believing in rumours of him winning before the polls. He said, “Few people are creating an atmosphere and spreading rumours that Modi has already won so don’t vote for him.” ” Voting is your right and Democracy is a festival so vote in large number to strengthen the country,” he added.

Earlier today PM Modi filed his nomination from the Varanasi constituency. Before filing his papers, Modi offered prayers at the Baba Kaal Bhairav temple. He also offered prayers to Kashi Vishwanath temple before that. Modi was accompanied by BJP chief Amit Shah, and other top BJP leaders.

Yesterday, he held a massive roadshow and participated in the Ganga Aarti, along with BJP chief Amit Shah and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, Shiromani Akali Dal’s Prakash Singh Badal also joined PM Modi during his nomination.
