Election 2019

PM Modi to file nomination from Varanasi at 11:30 AM

Varanasi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to file his nomination from Varanasi for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls today, estimated at 11:30 AM.

Varanasi is also the seat he won in 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Before filing his papers, Modi is likely to offer prayers at the Baba Kaal Bhairav temple. He is also likely to offer prayers to Kashi Vishwanath temple before that.

Modi will be accompanied by BJP chief Amit Shah, and other top BJP leaders.

Yesterday, he held a massive roadshow and participated in the Ganga Aarti, along with BJP chief Amit Shah and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Addressing his party workers he said,” I have been a grassroot worker myself. Have pasted posters on the wall”.

“From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Kashi Ghat to Porbandar, people across the country are saying – Phir ek baar, Modi sarkar”.

“Whether I win or not is not important. It’s the democracy that should win”, he added.

“People have made up their minds, they want Modi sarkar again”

“Let’s strive to break and beat all old records of polling. For every 100 votes by men, we must have 105 by women”

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will also be joining Modi today, as a show of support.

Later today, Modi will address a rally at BKC in Mumbai.
