New Delhi | Controversial BJP leader Pragya Thakur has found herself in fresh trouble as the Madhya Pradesh government is planning to reopen the murder case of RSS Pracharak Sunil Joshi.
State Law Minister P.C Sharma speaking to media stated that the state government is seeking legal opinion whether the case should be reopened or not. Sharma said, “We will seek a legal opinion on that report and then take a decision about moving a higher court.”
Responding to Sadhvi Pragya statement on calling Nathuram Godse, Sharma said,”I will not call Pragya Thakur a Sadhvi because she has described the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi as a patriot and martyr Hemant Karkare as a traitor. These comments point to the fact that she was involved in the murder of Sunil Joshi.”
Sunil Joshi, an RSS pracharak, was shot dead on December 29, 2007 in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas district. The NIA court acquitted Pragya Thakur along with eight persons in February 2017.
