Azamgarh (Uttar Pradesh) | Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav files his nomination from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh today, for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
“We worked for the development of Azamgarh and will do the same in future too,” he said after filing nomination papers in Azamgarh.
Yadav filed his nomination in the presence of BSP General Secretary Satish Chand Mishra.
SP-BSP-RLD alliance is contesting the Lok Sabha elections, on 37, 38, and 3 seats respectively.
Mulayam Singh Yadav, the father of Akhilesh Singh Yadav, who is contesting from Mainpuri, is the sitting MP from Azamgarh.
“Public of Azamgarh will give blessings to Samajwadis (socialists),” said Yadav before heading to Baitholi village of the district for his election rally.
Akhilesh Yadav held a roadshow before filing his nomination, a huge crowd came to extend their support for him.
Uttar Pradesh is going in the polls in seven phases, which started from April 11. 8 constituencies in Uttar Pradesh are going to the polls today, the second phase of elections.
