Andhra Pradesh: Somu Veerraju Promises Liquor For Rs. 50

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh BJP President Somu Veerraju has promised to supply good quality liquor for Rs. 50, per quarter bottle. But he says that this will be done only if BJP comes to power. At present the quarter bottle is sold for Rs. 200.

Addressing the partyโ€™s public meeting on Tuesday, he hits at the state government over liquor quality and price. He claims that the state government is selling poor quality liquor at higher prices. He alleged that all fake brands are sold in the state for higher prices, while known and popular brands are not available.

He said that citizens of the state have to pay Rs 12,000 a month on liquor, which is again given to them by the government in the name of one scheme or the other.

He focusing on the liquor consumers in the state said that nearly 1 crore people are consuming liquor. If these 1 crore people will vote for BJP in 2024 elections, he promised โ€˜qualityโ€™ liquor at Rs 75 per bottle and if the revenue improved it would be sold for even Rs 50 per bottle.

The BJP state president alleged that the ruling party leaders have liquor factories which supply cheap liquor to the government.
