Aryan Khan Gets Clean Chit In Drugs Case

Mumbai: Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and five others were cleared in the drugs-on-cruise case by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday.

The anti-drugs agency has filed a 6,000-page charge sheet, naming 14 accused, out of which 6 have been given clean chit due to lack of evidence.

According to sources, the agency failed to find any evidence against him.

Meanwhile, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha have not received a clean chit in the case.

Aryan was arrested in connection with a drug bust on a cruise ship in Mumbai in October last year.

After several court hearings and after 26 long days in custody, the Bombay High Court granted him bail on October 28.

School Scores Dip Below Levels From 5 Years , Except For 2 States: Survey

Aleesha Sam

New Delhi: According to the National Achievement Survey (NAS) 2021, academic performance in schools across the country has dipped below levels reported in 2017, with the exception of Punjab and Rajasthan, which has reflected a widening of learning disparities caused by interruptions induced by the epidemic.

The survey uncovered several major tendencies based on examinations done in 1.18 lakh schools across 720 districts.

CLASS III: Students were assessed on their mathematical and verbal skills, as well as their conceptual understanding of environmental science. Except for Punjab and Rajasthan, the sum total of the scores attained in these subjects by every state and UT, expressed in percentage, was lower than the national average recorded in the 2017 round of NAS. While some states, such as Kerala, improved their math scores over 2017, the aggregate score fell short. The best performers were Rajasthan, Punjab, and Kerala, with Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh taking the last three spots.

CLASS VIII: Language, math, science, and social science comprehension were assessed. In 2017, Punjab, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, and Haryana outperformed the national average. Lower-ranking states included Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh.

Students’ learning levels were tested using a variety of measures that varied by grade.

Students in Class III, for example, were challenged to read tiny texts with understanding and complete simple daily numerical problems using three-digit addition and subtraction.

Students in Class VIII were made to calculate values of squares, cubes, square roots and cube roots of numbers among several mathematical applications. Their knowledge of fundamental rights under the Constitution, and protection and promotion in specific situations were also tested.
