Bhim Army Chief Chandra Shekar Azad Debars Himself From Akhilesh Yadav’s Alliance

Lucknow: Bhim Army chief Chandra Shekar Azad on Saturday ruled out himself from Akhilesh Yadav’s alliance and said that Akhilesh Yadav doesn’t need dalits. there were speculations of the Bhim Army chief to join Samajwadi Party. But now, Azad confirmed that the alliance between the two parties wont happen according to India Today’s report

Addressing a press conference, Chandra Shekhar Aazad said he unified the ‘Bahujan Samaj’ and kept meeting Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav for six months. Aazad said he was in Lucknow for two days to meet Akhilesh Yadav.

“I had left the responsibility on him [Akhilesh Yadav]. He insulted me by not calling me,” Chandra Shekhar Aazad said.

“My people feared that our leader would also join the Samajwadi Party. Akhilesh ji does not need Dalits,” Aazad added.

Chandra Shekhar Aazad alos claimed that Akhilesh Yadav could not understand “social justice” and kept silent on matters related to Dalits.

Chandra Shekhar Aazad said in order to stop the BJP, he tried joining hands with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and SP. “I considered Akhilesh Yadav as my elder brother,” Aazad said.

“My fight for social justice will continue. I will unite the Opposition or else I will fight myself,” he said.

Earlier in the day, talking about the alliance with the Samajwadi Party, Chandra Shekhar Aazad told India Today, “The alliance has been confirmed. That’s why I am going there [for press conference]. I will tell the press at 10 am on what terms everything has been decided.”
