BJP Rule Worse Than That Of Hitler, Mussolini, Says Mamata Banerjee

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee claimed on Monday that the Union government was intervening in state affairs by employing central agencies, and that the BJP-led administration was bulldozing the countryโ€™s federal system.

Ms Banerjee asserted that the โ€œBJP government was worse than that of Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, or Benito Mussoliniโ€ during a news conference in Kolkata.

To maintain democracy, she suggested that central agencies โ€œshould be granted autonomy.โ€

โ€œThe BJP-led central government is using the central agencies to interfere in the stateโ€™s affairs. It is bulldozing the federal structure of the country. There is Tughlaqi rule in force,โ€ she said โ€œThe agencies must be granted autonomy and allowed to work impartially without any political interference,โ€ she added.
