‘Enough Of Meetings, We Want Action’: Arvind Kejriwal Slams Centre Over Targeted Killings In Kashmir

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal lashed out at  the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and accused the Centre of “having no plans for Kashmiri Pandits.”

Accusing the BJP government of failing, Kejriwal said, “The era of 1990 has come again. They don’t have any plans. Whenever there is a murder in the Valley, news comes that the Home Minister has called a high-level meeting. Enough of these meetings, now we need action.”

“The BJP coming to power always triggers an exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, In the last 30 years, the BJP was in power twice in Kashmir and both times Kashmiri Pandits had to migrate,”he said.

“Instead of ensuring the safety of protesting Kashmiri Pandits after Rahul Bhat was gunned down by terrorists in Budgam, the BJP administration cracked down on the protests, alleged Kejriwal, he added.

Commenting on the recent killing of Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray said that the state’s doors are always open to them.

Maharastra’s Environment Minister said “We will support them (Kashmiri pandits). The situation there is quite unstable. Our doors are open for them.”

“The situation in Kashmir is very worrying. Unfortunately, the situation is being repeated at such times. We expect the Indian government to take strong steps to ensure their safety,” said Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray on the recent killings of Hindus in Kashmir.”

“There the situation has not improved yet, as it is, the scene we are seeing is not good,” he added.
