PM Modi To Address Rally In UP’s Bijnor Today

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Uttar Pradesh today to address virtual rally ahead of assembly elections in the state. He is scheduled to to hold a rally in Bijnor by 12:30 

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is to attend two public meetings in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur and Bulandshahr Assembly constituencies.

As the first of seven phases of elections in Uttar Pradesh is slated on February 10, the Defence Minister is continuously addressing public gatherings in different constituencies in Uttar Pradesh as well as other in poll-bound states of Punjab and Uttarakhand for nearly last one month.

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi today offered prayers at Naina Devi temple in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh, a day after the former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi named him the chief ministerial face of the party in the Punjab Assembly elections. Earlier on Sunday, Rahul Gandhi had announced in Ludhiana that Mr Channi will be CM face of the Congress for the Punjab polls.

The counting of votes will take place on March 10.

Rahul Gandhi Slams Centre On Unemployment

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday slammed Centre on issue of unemployment, and pointed out a survey that says good days are elusive.

He quoted a media report that said 67 per cent MSMEs were temporarily shut and profits dipped for 66 per cent in FY21.

It also said the over 50 per cent MSMEs surveyed witnessed a decline of more than 25 per cent in their revenues during FY21.

“The unease of doing business. The pain of jobless youth.The compulsive lies of Modi Government. #KiskeAccheDin,” Mr Gandhi said on Twitter.

Rahul Gandhi and the Congress have been attacking the government and the prime minister on the issue of unemployment.
