MLA Amit Satam refutes allegations leveled by Aslam Shaikh and Mayor

Mumbai: Amid an ongoing controversy of naming a small ground, Mumbai after Tipu Sultan, Bhartiya Janta Party MLA, Amit Satam has clarified that when he was chairman of BMCโ€™s โ€˜Works Committeeโ€™ he had never moved any proposal to name any road of Mumbai city after Tipu Sultan. 

Satam has challenged Mumbai Guardian minister Aslam Shaikh and Mumbai Mayor to show proof, of their allegations leveled against him. He said, โ€œIf they donโ€™t have any proof against me regarding their allegations that I was involved in moving any proposal to name road against Tipu sultan they should be better prepared to face defamation suit.โ€

He further asked Aslam Shaikh to clarify, that why during lockdown when everything was shut, Cordelia Cruise was given permission to function. Whatโ€™s relation Aslam Shaikh has got with that ships questions Satam, he further demanded answer from Aslam Shaikh on why did he endorsed the mercy plea of Yakub Memon who was involved in 1992-93 Mumbai attack?
