“You are using people to win an election”: MLA ND Sharma who resign from AAP accusing party for selling tickets

Mr Sharma also claimed that after the polls, AAP plans to increase the rate of electricity, water, bus rides and stop free pilgrimage

 

NEW DELHI| Amid the Delhi assembly polls MLA of Aam Aadmi Party has resigned accusing the chief heads of the party demanded money to exchange the ticket. The MLA name ND Sharma of Badarpur on Tuesday resigned from the party and criticized the party’s act of selling tickets to candidates. No reactions coming from AAP party yet.

AAP party releases it’s 70 candidates list on Tuesday, soon after Mr Sharma declare his parting away from the party. Mr Sharma said the party has absorb two-time MLA Ram Singh Netaji.

Ahead of his resignation on Monday, Mr Sharma sat on a protest at Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s residence over Netaji’s induction.

Mr Sharma said, “I have resigned from the party. We joined the AAP for clean politics but what is the difference between you (AAP) and other political parties now. I won with 94,000 votes and he (Netaji) with 17,000 votes but he was inducted into the party just like that. The hard work of volunteers was ignored”.

Mr Sharma also accused the vice chief minister of Delhi and prominent head of the AAP party Manish Sisodia of calling him at his residence and demanded money from him.

Mr Sharma added he will contest the upcoming election. But he did not clear by joining with another party or independently.

Mr Sharma accused AAP party of using people for their own benefits, “You are using people to win an election. You didn’t raise the level of politics, you have dropped it further”. Mr Sharma said party is selling tickets to the candidates for the election. “If they wanted someone else they could have chosen some volunteer from the party,” he added.

He also claimed that after the polls, the AAP-led Delhi government plans to increase the rate of electricity, water, bus rides and stop free pilgrimage.

The sitting MLA’s resignation comes ahead of the Delhi assembly polls which will be held on February 8 and the counting that will take place on February 11.
