PM Modi Calls Out Akhilesh Yadavโ€™s Samajwadi Party โ€˜Fakeโ€™

Bijnor: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the โ€œriver of developmentโ€ had stopped in Uttar Pradesh before 2017 due to the dynastic approach of โ€œfake samajwadisโ€™.

Addressing a rally in Bijnor virtually, PM Modi praised the Yogi Adityanath government for developing all regions of the state equally without any discrimination.

The prime minister addressed the Bijnor rally virtually as he could not be physically present there due to bad weather.Pm apologized too for the same.

Modi has so far addressed three virtual rallies in west UP from where the seven phased UP polls will start from February 10. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.

โ€œFirst of all, Iโ€™d like to apologise to you. After some relaxation by the EC, I had thought of beginning my campaign by coming to Bijnor (UP) in person. But due to weather conditions, my helicopter couldnโ€™t leave and I could see you only through video conferencing once again,โ€ he said in his opening remarks.

โ€œAll they did was to keep quenching their own thirst and that of their close ones. They kept quenching the thirst of their own coffers. This selfish thirst soaks all streams of the river of development,โ€ the PM said.

He said the Yogi Adityanath government has paid over โ‚น 1.5 lakh crore sugarcane dues to farmers which is more than the money paid by earlier two governments in UP.

โ€œSuddenly Weather Turns Bad,โ€ Akhilesh Yadavโ€™s Ally Taunts PM

Ashmita Chhabria

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadavโ€™s ally Jayant Chaudhary attacked on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as Bhartiya Janta Party cancelled  first physical rally in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, on account of bad weather. Chaudhary said that he is just not ready to face the people after failing to keep their promises. He has been a substantial support base among the Jats and farmers in western Uttar Pradesh.

โ€œThe BJP had earlier promised better electricity and development in Bijnor. If the PM had visited them today people would have asked questions. So suddenly BJPโ€™s weather turned bad,โ€ he said at a rally in Meerut Cantonment.

Bijnor has eight assembly seats, of which five are with the BJP and the rest three are with the Samajwadi Party. The district, where almost 50 percent population is of Dalits and Muslims, has two Lok Sabha seatsโ€“ Bijnor and Nagina โ€” both of which are with Mayawatiโ€™s Bahujan Samaj Party.

The Jat leader also attacked on the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath amid his โ€˜cool down other partiesโ€™ comment.

โ€œThey want us to cool down but there is a lot of heat here. They want to talk about Jinnah but we want to talk about jobs and sugarcane dues,โ€ he said.
