Agra: Addressing an election rally in Agra, Union Minister Smriti Irani has sharply targeted the Congress and the Samajwadi Party. She also indirectly took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi, referring to Priyanka Gandhi’s slogan ‘Ladki Hoon Lad Sakti Hoon’.
Smriti Irani surrounds Priyanka Gandhi
Smriti Irani slammed Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi over her slogan ‘Ladki Hoon Lad Sakti Hoon.’ Without mentioning Rahul Gandhi’s name Smriti Irani said that Priyanka Gandhi is signaling that there is a boy (Rahul Gandhi) at home who cannot fight.
She said, “She (Priyanka Gandhi) is signaling that there is a boy (Rahul Gandhi) at home who cannot fight.”
Aparna Yadav also made a simple target on the Congress
Recently, Aparna Yadav too has also satirized this slogan of Priyanka Gandhi. She said, “Are there no girls in Punjab, the woman president of the Congress in the state has accused the party of ignoring women”. Aparna said, “Congress is implementing this slogan only in UP in elections, and why not at other places?”
Aparna Yadav has joined BJP recently.
Irani accuses SP for revengeful intentions
Targeting the Samajwadi Party, Union Minister Smriti Irani said that the SP does politics of revenge, while the BJP does politics of change. He said that SP candidates are already talking about revenge. People are being threatened, but after coming to power, BJP will send such people back to where they came from.
Reaction of people on Irani’s statement
Reacting to Smriti Irani’s statement, a Twitter user named Pramod said that Priyanka Gandhi was giving hints that the boy of the house has motivated women to move forward. Unlike BJP, Hathras and Unnao have not made women helpless. If Congress comes, sisters and daughters will be strong.
A user named Santosh Gupta wrote that look who has come, Hathras… .. where were you? Lakhimpur… .. where were you? Unnao… .. where were you?
A user named Satyamev Jayate wrote that Smriti is not an Iranian sign, she is speaking directly, not to the girls. Only boys should fight.
UP Assembly elections are going to start from February 10.
