After arriving at Chandigarh airport this morning, Rahul Gandhi headed straight to Moosa, the singer’s hometown.
Rahul Gandhi was accompanied by other Congress officials, including Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Partap Singh Bajwa, former Deputy Chief Minister OP Soni, and others, as reported by PTI.
For Rahul Gandhi’s visit, security had been intensified outside Moose Wala’s family’s home. On May 29, unidentified assailants shot and killed Sidhu Moose Wala in Mansa district.

Sidhu Moose Wala, who joined the Congress in December of last year, ran for the Mansa seat in the Punjab Assembly elections in 2022 but lost.
The parents of Sidhu Moose Wala met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has previously extended his condolences to the family.
Senior Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa wrote to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, urging him to “transfer the murder case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or the National Investigation Agency (NIA) so that justice can be delivered to the family at the earliest.”
