“Stays Underground For 3-4 Months And Then Lectures”: Sharad Pawar’s Sly Dig At Raj Thackeray

Kolhapur: NCP Chief Sharad Pawar during a press conference at Kolhapur slammed Raj Thackeray over his recent speech during the MNS Gudi Padwa Rally and “The role of the NCP is to bring together people of all castes. Raj Thackeray should check the history of the NCP in the last few years. “Raj Thackeray stays underground for three to four months and gives a lecture,”Pawar added.

At the MNS Gudipadwa rally held at Shivaji Park, Raj Thackeray criticized Pawar and accused him of being responsible for caste politics in the state and said “We have seen many times that there is no consistency in the role of Sharad Pawar”. To this statement Pawar replied “The role of NCP will continue today and tomorrow to bring people of all castes together.

Raj Thackeray’s Allegations Against Pawar

“If we are going to get involved in caste, what kind of Hindu and Hindutva are we going to carry? Hindu is only Hindu in Hindu-Muslim riots. He was Indian on 26th January and 15th August. We don’t know who he is when China invades. He used to be Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, then when he was Marathi, he was Maratha, Brahmin, Agri. NCP, Sharad Pawar wants this,” Raj Thackeray said at his rally.

“NCP, Sharad Pawar want caste politics. When NCP was born in 1999, caste politics started on a large scale in Maharashtra. Earlier caste was about the pride of community. But after the birth of NCP in 1999, they started creating rifts between castes,” he further added.

Raj Thackeray’s Jibe At MahaVikas Aghadi

Addressing activists at the Gudipadva rally at Shivaji Park in Mumbai, MNS president Raj Thackeray slammed the ruling Mahavikas Aghadi. “The number one party in Maharashtra is the Bharatiya Janata Party, the number two party is the Shiv Sena and the number three party is the NCP, he said.
