UP Elections: Absconding In Gangster Act MLA Nahid Hasan Surrenders, SP Gave Ticket From Kairana

Shamli: For the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022, Samajwadi Party has once again made Nahid Hassan its candidate from Shamli's Kairana assembly seat. At the same time, the SP MLA, who is absconding in the Gangster Act, has surrendered in the Kairana court.

Heavy police force was deployed in Kairana court at the time of surrender of Nahid Hasan. Whereas on Friday, on the first day of the nomination for the UP elections, two sets were filed by Hassan's behalf from the Kairana assembly seat.

There are many criminal cases registered against Nahid Hasan in the police, in which apart from buying land fraudulently, there are also cases of forcible migration of people. Not only this, the special court of Shamli district had also declared a fugitive because of absconding in the Gangster Act.

Nahid Hasan is the SP MLA from Kairana, while his mother Tabassum has been an MP from this area. At the same time, BJP has called the re-election of Nahid Hasan as 'Jinnavad' of the Samajwadi Party.

Nahid Hasan surrendered in the court in January 2020 after absconding for a long time. Not only this, he got bail after being in jail for about a month. After this, in February 2021, the UP Police took action against Nahid Hasan, his mother Tabassum and 38 others under the Gangster Act. After this, he once again absconded and has surrendered in the court today.

The voting for 403 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh in seven phases will start from February 10. In Uttar Pradesh, polling will be held in other phases on 14, 20, 23, 27 February, 3 and 7 March. At the same time, the results of UP elections will come on March 10. In the 2017 elections, the BJP had won 325 out of 403 seats here. SP and Congress fought elections together. SP won 47 seats and Congress 7 seats. Mayawati's BSP was successful in winning 19 seats. While 4 seats were occupied by others.
