New Delhi: A video of a 19-year-old boy running on a Noida street at midnight has gone viral. If youโre wondering why the run has gotten so much attention, itโs because of his encounter with filmmaker Vinod Kapri.
Mr Kapriโs video of the boyโs run, which he posted on Twitter on Sunday evening, has already received over 4 million views. Despite being drenched in perspiration, the runner declines the filmmakerโs offer of a ride home.
Pradeep Mehra, 19, turned down the filmmakerโs offer of a ride since he intends to join the Indian Army. After finishing his shift at McDonaldโs, he tells the filmmaker that he was rushing home.
The Uttarakhand boy also tells Mr Kapri that he has to wake up at 8 am every day to cook food and has no time to train in the morning. He runs a 10-km stretch daily, from his work in Noidaโs Sector 16 to his home in Barola, where he stays with his elder brother.
When asked about where Pradeepโs parents were , he said his mom was unwell and is been hospitalised.
Mr Kapri today shared another clip of Mr Mehraโs run on Twitter with the caption, โWatch #PradeepMehraโs 20-second SPRINT to lift your Monday SPIRITS.โ
Commenters revere Pradeep Mehraโs unwavering resolve and can-do attitude towards unquestionably hardy circumstances. The video also caught the attention of singer-rapper Badshah too.
After the video went viral on social media, the filmmaker went to the McDonaldโs outlet and met the 19-year-old again. He told Mr Mehra about how much love he was getting from everyone.
Mr Kapriโs video comes to an end with a caption reading, โPradeepโs story will inspire millions.โ
