Meanwhile, state Water Resources Minister Duraimurugan said on Thursday that the Tamil Nadu government would decide on the next course of action on internal reservation for Vanniyars after consulting legal experts. The previous AIADMK regime rushed through a bill to guarantee internal quota for Vanniyars for “political motives” in the run-up to the Assembly election last year, according to the minister. In other developments, city traffic cops have chosen to keep an eye on food delivery drivers who break traffic laws and take action against them.
