New Delhi: The hidden conflict in Congress continued after the Congress Working Committee meet, with the party’s Lok Sabha whip Manickam Tagore today hit out at the senior leader Kapil Sibal for the remarks he made against the leadership, and accused him of speaking like RSS and BJP.
Tagore, a loyalist to Rahul Gandhi questioned that why does BJP and RSS want Nehru-Gandhi’s out of the leadership. He says that without Gandhis, Congress will become Janata Party.
Taking to Twitter, he tweeted, “Why the RSS and BJP wants Nehru-Gandhi’s out of the leadership? Because without Gandhi’s leadership Congress will be become Janata party. It’s easy to kill Congress then it’s easy to destroy the idea of India (sic).”
He claimed that Kapil Sibal is aware of it but why is he speaking language of RSS/BJP?
Sibel has said that Gandhis should move aside from Congress and should give leadership of the party is any other leader’s hands.
“Leadership is in cuckoo land… I want a ‘Sab ki Congress’. Some want a ‘Ghar ki Congress’,” Sibal told the Indian Express in an interview.
This remarks came after the CWC met on Sunday, and after discussing for almost five hours asked Sonia Gandhi to continue leading and make required changes to strengthen the party.
The CWC rejected Gandhi’s offer to make any and every sacrifice for the party, which was construed by some as an offer of Gandhi family to step aside, and reposed faith in her leadership.
