On Friday, Mumbai police arrested one more accused in the Baba Siddique murder case. Till date, a total of 15 people has been arrested. According to officials, 32-year-old Sujit Sushil Singh was apprehended from Ludhiana,
Punjab, after reportedly introducing the wanted suspect Zeeshan Akhtar with two other arrested suspects in the case.
Police officials claimed that he was a member of the group that planned the murder conspiracy and had communication with Zeeshan Akhtar. He escaped to Jalandhar, the home of his in-laws, shortly after the murder and started living with a relative.
A police officer stated, “We are questioning him to determine the motive for the murder.” According to the officer, the police also found another domestically made handgun in the Panvel house of Ram Kanaujia, the arrested suspect.
