Avinash Rai Khanna reviews working of BJP Morchas, VCs in Jammu

Jammu: BJP National Vice-President & Prabhari J&K state, Avinash Rai Khanna along with BJP State President Sat Sharma, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State General Secretaries Dr Narinder Singh and Pawan Khajuria conducted a series of meetings with state Presidents and senior leaders from all the Morchas and Chairpersons & Vice-chairpersons of various Corporations, at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar.

Avinash Rai Khanna took stock of the working strategy of various Morchas by seeking their report cards from their respective Presidents and Convenors. He said that the motto to conduct a separate meeting with the Morchas is to minutely look into the functioning of these Morchas at the ground level.

Emphasizing the role of Morchas for the strengthening of party activities, he said that the Morchas play a very important role in the extension of party’s policies and core ideology to the targeted population. He said that where as the party is sometimes busy in broader perspectives, the Morchas remain dedicated to the interests of the public concerned through all means.

He prompted the Morcha activities to pace up their activities and reach up to every single family of the region. He also asked the party leadership to act as the catalyst in the working of Morchas.

Sat Sharma also threw light on the working of these Morchas in the state. He ensured state Prabhari, of quality workmanship from all the Morcha activists.

Khanna also took a meeting of all the Chairpersons & Vice-chairpersons of various corporations to inquire of the functioning of their respective departments. He prompted them to narrate various steps taken by their various respective departments for the welfare of the needy population. He also advised them of useful and effective tools realize the aim of these corporations.

Meanwhile, a deputation of farmers under the leadership of BJP State Vice-President Karan Singh and Kissan Morcha State President also called upon Avinash Rai Khanna to discuss and present their demands before the top leadership.

They narrated their tale of woes regarding the inadequate compensation being offered to them by the respective department for the land coming under the ambit of Jammu Ring Road and Semi Ring road in Kashmir. The leaders pointed out that the land of approximately 1400 families in Jammu and 2600 families in Kashmir.

They pointed out that the difference between the stamp duty rate and the market rate of these fertile land is enormous whereas the affected families have to part with their only source of income so that the appropriate consideration for the factors must be taken in account for the compensation being paid.
