CRPF Soldier Open Fires In Manipur, Kills 2 Colleagues, Takes His Own Life

Manipur: A CRPF jawan on Thursday killed his two colleagues and injured eight other personnel present at the place of the incident before taking his own life at the camp, said officials.

The incident occurred at around 8:20 pm in Lamphel, in the Imphal West district.

The accused jawan, named Havildar Sanjay Kumar, opened fire on a constable and a sub-inspector and later shot himself and died on the spot.

The death toll from the consumption of poisonous liquor in Tamil Naduโ€™s Kallakurichi district has reached 61, with 118 people receiving treatment.
