Increasing presence of China in Doklam: Rahul wonders whether Modi Ji will hug or cry publicly this time

Rahul referred to Modi’s liking for giving a hug to the world leaders at which Congress keeps taking potshots and calls it “hugplomacy”, and to the number of times he has wept during making his first address in the Parliament.

Rahul Gandhi, the Congress president today took it to Twitter to express his intrigue as to how would PM Modi react to the news that China has started over the construction of its road and other military infrastructure in Doklam by evading Indian troops. He tweeted, “How will Modi Ji react this time? *Hugplomacy *Blame RM *Cry in public *All of the above”.

Rahul referred to Modi’s liking for giving a hug to the world leaders at which Congress keeps taking potshots and calls it “hugplomacy”, and to the number of times he has wept during making his first address in the Parliament, during a town hall with Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook chief and while paying a tribute to the head of the Swaminarayan camp.

As per the sources of Times of India People’s Liberation Army troops of China “trying to work around or outflank” the military outpost of Indian Doklam which is situated on a rim, by building a new road that is 1.3-km long and has “communication-trenches” that are 4-km away from the area. This alternate axis could permit China access to the Jampheri Ridge in South Doklam, since the PLA has wanted earlier, prior to the 73-day standoff of the troop last year.

On the other hand, the officials of the Indian security establishment on Monday had declined to make a comment on the news. New Delhi is “highly sensitive” over Jampheri Ridge since it overlooks its military-susceptible Siliguri Corridor or what is known as the area of “Chicken’s Neck”.
