Afghanistan Avalanche: 6 Dead, 30 Trapped, Rescue Ongoing

An avalanche in Afghanistan’s eastern Nuristan province killed six people and trapped 30 others as heavy snowfall blanketed the region. Rescue operations are underway, but the number of casualties may rise. The avalanche hit the village of Nakre in the Tatin Valley, destroying or severely damaging around 20 houses.
